    Redwood or hardwood timber doors

All our products are manufactured using FSC® 100% engineered laminated timber. We offer both redwood (Scots Pine) and hardwood (Dark Red Meranti) – both with the same extensive warranty. When comparing the two, our hardwood has a more of an open grain structure meaning it gives more of a textured finish, particularly when stained.

    Timber Sliding Patio Door FAQ's

How easy are heavy sliding patio doors to operate?

The lift and glide system is designed to move large and heavy door leaves so the operation is smooth and effortless. The system operates by lifting the door, so it rests on wheels moving on the track, allowing ease of operation, meaning you don’t have to take any of the weight.

Can the patio doors be supplied in parts for site assembly?

As at least one of the leaves is always fixed in position, we supply our patio doors fully factory finished on dedicated pallets. For fitting and handling on-site the sliding door leaves can be removed.

Can the patio doors slide into a wall?

Yes, they can, but this needs to be assessed on an individual basis, so please contact our technical team for more details.

Do you offer sliding patio doors that stack behind each other to save space?

Our patio doors stack behind the fixed leaf on the door.

Are your sliding doors Passivhaus certified?

Our sliding doors are not certified Passivhaus, but we can optimise the Ud value of our timber patio doors using krypton filled triple glazing that has Ug values starting from 0.5W/m²K – giving our patio doors an overall Ud value starting from 0.8W/m²K.

What is the size of the door threshold on your patio door and do you offer mobility or low level cill?

Our hardwood door threshold is 190mm x 67mm. This can be set in line with the internal and external floor finishes creating a flush mobility threshold.

How much ventilation does the night vent give?

Our secure night vent position gives up to 265m³/h of air circulation.
