Originally part of well-known local landmark Manderstone Estate the farm buildings have been sympathetically converted into striking 2, 3, 4 & 5 bedroom properties. The project was undertaken by developer Prime Property Ventures and the work was carried out to a very high standard.
Changes in local farming practices meant that the Grade A listed building that dates back to as early as 1874 had been derelict for many years. Keen to restore the estate back to its original glory and secure its future Prime Property Venture purchased the building from a local developer.
They worked together with Architect David Johnson and have undertaken a full refurbishment of the listed landmark building. David had previously worked on a number of similar historic building conversion projects and felt the Bereco Traditional Range was able to offer the ideal products for Edrom Newton.
Interesting Fact
As Prime property Venture is no stranger to this type of high specification development the whole project was completed with a short time frame, taking just over a year from start to finish.
Work undertaken included demolishing much of the existing building whilst retaining the shell as a basis for the refurbishment. The original estate was a natural steading of sandstone, slate and timber windows – a list of proposed materials had to be submitted to ensure they met planning requirements. This made Bereco the perfect choice to supply high quality, bespoke timber windows for the project.
